meteor

maybe the meteor
will wipe us all out
the flood or the fire
there ain't no doubt
maybe the
stars will drop we'll be wondering why
there was no warning
they just fell from the sky
we'd live forever if i had my way
at least we had today

perchance
the planets will just peter out
from all of spinning and weaving around
then we will all look up
at the same time to see
a tidal wave
and a hankering to flea
this is what i'll be thinking as i'm running away, at least we had today

isn't it strange we gotta sa y goodbye?
don't you think it's weird that noone wonders why?
