sit in the silence

talk talk talk
all the people talk talk talk
and we just

sit in the silence
moonbeams and violins
waiting upon a star
only takes you so far.

smile lonely soldier
you've got a little
money left over
D-day is coming
so go find somebody
an hour a century
better believe
what you cannot see

wash my face in an empty elevated place
only to
sit in the silence
sing in defiance
rishis and
avatars only take you so far.

inner travel

i used to have such wanderlust
looking for a land that i can trust
till a friend told me
instead of taking to the skies
concentrate on what is going on between your eyes.

learning how to travel by going within and finding the light
is worth even more then a first class flight
it's better then sitting out on a yacht out by the sea
because wherever you are now is where you are meant to be.

Radio Caracas

Whatever happened to Radio Caracas?
venezuelan government told us we better stop
listening to the songs
that told us bout what went wrong
so they put up the network station
told us what we didn't want to hear
hoping looney tunes and pretty woman
would help to vanquish our fear.
you've been walking barefoot all your life
and now they're gonna buy you shoes
you've been walking barefoot all your life
lord knows
we've paid some dues
he's a
genius
and an idiot
just like
me
somebody
tell him
it's the only way to break free.
poetry is the most important
art don't you know that it's the science of my heart?
you can keep your philosophies
took you 20 years to start your life
as you knew it
you knew it and you blew it.

day out with joey the dog.

So for lunch we had some indian food with Brian. Then we walked into beverly hills, and stopped off at the healthy bean. Cody is a really cool cat who works there, from minnesota. Had some of their great coffee and hung out with Joey upstairs, listening to the mellow music of matt costa and others, reading chogyam trungpa. Then we went to the Bodhi Tree to listen to Robert Tennyson Stevens talk about 'conscious language, sacred body language, translations, and bio optic holography. It was very interesting and Joey got passed around to about half a dozen females, which is good because he misses his mommy. Then afterwards he met 4 more as i walked past urth cafe and a lady took a pic. of him and sent it to my facebook. We didn't get home until almost midnight. He took a nice poop near robertson, and i picked it up with a plastic bag and threw it away.
What are we going to do tomorrow?
